Mullens and Schniepp Continue Battle for NCRA Modified Championship Saturday Night!

Park City, Kansas – September 13, 2018 - Race number twelve on the season for the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified tour will take place this coming Saturday night at 81 Speedway in Park City.

With only three events remaining on the 2018 slate, the battle for the championship looks to be a two-driver race.

On the strength of his series-best six feature victories on the season, third-generation driver Tanner Mullens of Wichita currently holds a slim ten-point lead over Cody Schniepp. Schniepp, who picked up his first-career series victory back on August 31st at Salina (Ks) Speedway, is in-the-midst of his first full season with the series.

Three-time and defending tour champion Dan Powers isn’t officially out of the hunt for his fourth championship, but it will take strong, top five finishes coupled with strong car counts and bad finishes from the top two drivers in the standings to pull off the feat.

Former tour champion Tyler Davis has two feature victories on the season and is fourth in the point standings (-225) Scott Green, Josh Lanterman, Brandon Massey, Bryce Schniepp, Jake Nightingale and Corey Lagroon are the top ten in the current point standings.

Gates will open at 5:00 PM start time with race action slated for 7:00 PM. Adult general admission is just $15 while children eleven and under will be admitted into the grandstands for free.

Also in competition will be the series NCRA Crate Late Models, the tracks weekly Thumper division and the Sooner Limited Modified Series.

Information concerning all-things NCRA can be found on the series official website www.racencra.com; their official facebook page: NCRA Racing Series and by calling (316) 755-1781.
