By John Rittenoure - ENID, Okla. (June 9, 2018) - Past champion Mark Harrison made a late charge around early leader Sloppy Hogg to win the Sooner Late Model feature at Enid Speedway on Saturday.
The 2016 series champion chased down Hogg in the 25-lapper and drove inside of the leader down the backstretch of lap 17 and took away from the front spot. Harrison then pulled away to pick up his first victory of the 2018 season.
Hogg jumped from the outside front row into the early lead and Harrison, who started outside second row, followed into second. Hogg looked well on his way toward a victory until the last 10 laps when Harrison started gaining ground. Hogg then fell back to third when Nate Jantz passed him for second on lap 18. Jantz chased Harrison to the finish with Hogg settling for third. Damian Patocka and Cole Traugott rounded out the top five.
