Don't forget this coming Friday and Saturday night it is the WoO sprint cars annual stop at Dodge City Racing Park in Dodge City, Kansas. There really are some nice tracks out there but this west Kansas city has one of the nicest with paved everything except the racing surface. Tickets can also be purchased by calling (877) 395-8606. Adult reserved tickets
are $35 in advance, $40 the day of the show. Adult general admission tickets are

This Friday night, if you haven't raced at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Call Wade Cagle (918) 845-6375 and he will pay the first of those twenty drivers that call him their pit pass. Also, if you have a TRE by Bone you will get an extra $150 if you win or $50 to the highest finishing driver utlizing a TRE by Bone. The modified feature finale will already pay $1200 to win with added money from second through tenth.
Lotta rumors going on about state tracks and this is what I am able to tell you...
Creek County Speedway: Emmett Hahn and Jackie Green have a mutual agreement that will see Jackie give the track back too Emmett. Plans and what night the track will be racing are confidential (I think it is a good plan myself) until a formal announcement is made.
Virgil Page, owner of Lake Country Speedway in Ardmore since 1995, has sold the track to John Webb of Pauls Valley. His first night owning the track will be this coming Saturday night so if you are interested in what is going on, Saturday night is your chance. I have contact information and will call him Wednesday when I get home from work to get an idea on what his plans may be for the remainder of the year and years to come. Virgil is one of the nicest owners out there and has had several people promoting the track for him, some with alot of success to start but failed emencely a year or two later.
Here is wishing John the best of luck at LCS.
I-44 Speedway is NOT yet under new ownership in an email I received earlier this week. The way it is going, landowner has the two gentlemen along with cooperation from
the bank that owns the speedway rights to operate the track until it sells. Stay tuned for more information as I receive it.
Rick and Julie Magnuson have taken over ownership at Siloam Springs Speedway in West SIloam, Oklahoma. I wll also look to get ahold of them this week to get more information.
And finally, the ball is in the Enid Fairboards hands on what the status of a new promoter will be. Again plans are confidential for right now until things get finalized. You will probably see it first here on tidbits when it does.
Congratulations go out to Brandon Jennings on what I believe is his first career sprint car feature victory at Brill Motor Speedway this past Friday night. I believe Brandon is third in the USRA champ sprint weekly point standings. That site is currently down at the moment but when it is up then I will post.
I have known Brandon since he was a baby as the "racing Jennings" were the first people of racing that I met back in 1984. Got on the highway with my '77 El Camino to my first ever trip to Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee for the NCRA champ car show that year and when I got on my cb radio asking for directions, got one Ricky Jennings on the radio and coached me all the way too the track. Spent many a weekend on the road traveling to NCRA shows with Ricky and Earnest, all while hanging out with a very young Danny. Met Bruce on a 1985 trip to 81 Speedway for an NCRA show and been friends ever since.
Lots of fireworks at area race tracks this weekend so if you heading to a race, there is a good chance you will see fireworks. All I wish is tracks wouldn't run just some features, then your fireworks show, and then complete your program. Run you show that way those who want to can head home.
Tidbits looks to be at Dodge City for the WoO sprint show on Friday and Saturday night or maybe just Saturday night. Then on Sunday, and if you are modified driver you really don't wanna miss this one, as I will be at the Belleville High Banks for the NCRA late model, NCRA modified and, first time ever at the track (and my first time seeing the series), the IMCA BST modifieds! Texting with Troy Gemmill, he and son Brendon will be there as well.
Eric Turner will be driving the Terry Pannell owned #33x late model with NCRA this whole weekend as they go to I-80 Speedway in Nebraska on Friday night, Adams County Speedway in Iowa on Saturday night before heading to Belleville on Sunday night.
This tidbits update was a spur of the moment deal so I didn't look at the notes that I have. Thus, there is a good chance I will update one more time before the end of the week. That means if you are interested in the above mentioned placing an ad on tidbits, get with me asap so you can get mentioned.
Thank you, take care and as I have always said, "take care and watch out for the other guy!"
